I'm Matea (pronounced: Ma-Taya | Ma-tae-yah), originally from sunny Croatia. I relocated to Staveley, Chesterfield, in 2012 after marrying Michael.
With a background as a Nursing Assistant at Nottingham's QMC, I've transitioned into the role of a Software Engineer. My experience includes contributing to various e-commerce sites, building a sustainability-focused social network, and collaborating with 20+ local authorities on social care websites and mobile apps. Currently, I'm working on an AI-powered SaaS for Call Centre QA and developing Lupio, a health tech mobile app for autoimmune disorders like Lupus.
I prioritise accessibility in all my work, ensuring that users with impairments or disabilities can seamlessly utilise digital services, fostering inclusivity for all.
